✓ Okay game, but mostly meh.Not what the quality that I've come to expect from Halfbrick. Things that need to be fixed: Respawn should make sure there will be a platform under you (I've re spawned before and have immediately died again due to this issue), Possible invincibility frames after a hit from the green gas, Slower pace incline (this is just my opinion), and Enemies not spawning extremely close to you (this happens way too often)..Version: 2.7.3

✓ It's nice...that's itIt's gets boring fast unlike other simple or one touch games, the no longevity to the game unlike their succesful jet pack joyride which has a wide range of achievments, jet packs and gadgets. This is the sole reason though as if had a too easy niche to it that you can just hold down the gun button for endless shots and the already input power ups aren't as rewarding as I would like if anything they are a nuissance as they fail to help in any way, again comparing to Jetpack Joyride the vehicles in the game are the weapons upgrade for this game and although they bring some weapons to kill the scientists they all bring a different style of motion and control. In conclusion I fel it's a nice time waster but I would of rather spent my 69p on something else.Version: 1.25
✓ Ok, but much too stingy nowI started playing this about a month ago and it was quite a good game, but with the Ghostbuster release, they reduced the power available from 13 to 6, which means you only get 10-20 mins of play before needing to spend gems for more power. Obviously Halfbrick decided that they weren't getting enough cash and had to make it harder to play for free. Well that's me out of here, thanks for nothing Halfbrick.Version: 1.70.0

✓ Why do this, Halfbrick?Halfbrick was one of my fave devs in the mobile gaming industry, Monster Dash was a great, simple, game which you had to go as far as you could as if it were Jetpack Joyride, but this is rather disappointing having Monster Dash turned into a more cash factory just so Halfbrick can be greedy, if you still have the old version of Monster Dash, I recommend that you DO NOT update to this version, expect microtransactions and needing to be connected to the Internet in order to actually play it. Sorry Halfbrick, but I'd hate to give this a 1 star after how great it was, until now..Version: 1.40.0
✓ SadThis was my favorite game before it was taken down a few years ago. Was thrilled when it was brought back to the App Store and with a Refreshed look! But my progress in the old game did not transfer over and I have connection problems to my Game Center. Also instead of earning stuff with gold, like magnetic Berry, extended mags for guns and such. It looks like you need to purchase them all separately with real currency, (or watch a 40 second ad, before EVERY game) I don’t want to buy my character I want to build a character. Still holding onto hope that it gets better, but just seems like a cheap cash grab unfortunately ☹️ Also the spawning and pace of the game is way to fast. Sometimes monster pop up right beneath me and take a heart. Also the downward heavy landing move isn’t reliable. It sometimes activates after my second jump and I land in traps or in pits. No forgiveness on landings either, jumping a pit perfectly takes a heart. Meaning you need to land further behind a pit instead of asap. As I keep playing it gets impossible to pass different stages even with bronze. I am so sad that this game blows. Holding onto hope that it gets a third chance.Version: 3.8.3469

✓ HorribleOnly had like one dollar in iTunes credit left, like jet pack joyride, was like why not, bought it. this is not like it at all its horrible. Where's the customisation at! No half brick that does not mean money hungry customisation where all the cool stuff is at an unbelievable price and the only way to get it is by spending monies. Overall pretty bad game, wouldn't even get it if it was free and is in desperate need of customisation or something to take out the monotony of the game, oh u died? Want to run again? ✓ It’s changed too muchI love this game a lot and when they released the ghostbusters update, (while there were aspects of it that I like) it took a very simple arcade style game and made it too complicated for the type of game it was. This update is basically that but taken a lot farther, the new character and monster designs just don’t work as well as the old ones and it just kinda makes me sad. At least they could’ve made Barry look like he does in Jetpack. Or at least put a retro Barry skin in the shop..Version: 3.9.4759
✓ Update seems like more of a downgradeThis game used to be really great and have lots of things. I was really happy when halfbrick updated it. They updated the graphics and added costumes which is good. But they removed the whole system for the collectible gems that gave you small bonuses, they removed rainbow cheeks, they removed the thing where if you fall off after reviving or the bike getting destroyed it puts you back up which is infuriating because on the levels where you have to drive a motorcycle a certain distance the bike keeps running out of fuel and when it explodes it sends me off the edge. And even when I revive it can still send me off the edge which wastes like 30 seconds of my time. I also don’t like the new art style I really wish they did one similar to Jetpack joyride, they also increased the price of the sword and even if you bought it before your money was wasted because you don’t have it anymore. ✓ The new update is 👎I downloaded this game because I wanted to get some memories of when I used to play this as a little kid, but it seems like a lot of those memories are gone because of the update. ✓ Good pass timeMonster dash is a fun game, if you're only playing it for 5 mins. After this it gets quite boring. It isn't worth the price if you expect to spend lots of time on this app. It will get boring. On the positive side, it's well thought out and has fool proof, arcade like controls that allow you to jump and shoot, no more. Other weapons than the standard shotgun are available if you come across them mid-game. Overall, monster dash is good fun for the first couple of runs but soon gets very repetitive and dull..Version: 0
✓ Great app!This is well worth the money! A truly must have app! The only faults with it are that the jump distance is always the same but where and when the gaps come is not and so the 'hero' ends up jumping into/falling through a gap through no fault of the player! This can and does get exceedingly annoying and there are also times when spikes or enemy have to be jumped over and when you land you land so close to a gap that the next thing you know is you have fallen into it as there is no time to jump again to avoid it. Especially as the game speeds up! I have dropped it one star for each of the problems. Other than those two problems I would say you really should buy this app as irbid great pick-up-and-play fodder!.Version: 0

✓ Another game down the drain...I played the original monster dash and it was SO MUCH BETTER. The art style was the classic 8-bit stuff we all know and love, the levels were challenging but fun as hell, there was no stamina system, and there weren’t NEARLY as many ads as there is today. I was really excited when I saw this game that I thought was lost forever come back, but then I realized that Halfbrick completely bastardized it. ✓ It's alright. Not the bestI bought this game due to the reviews on here and had high expectations from this game as this is from the same company which made Fruit Ninja. The game was fun for the first couple of hours then gets boring and very repetitive. I deleted it after two days. This game is not my cup of tea. I think that Zombieville USA is better, more graphically pleasing and playable than this game. Yes, the main character and zombies are cutefully drawn but that's it. There should be a lite version of this game for people to make their own minds up before purchasing the full version. Anyway, I can't complain. This was only £0.59p. ✓ Why would you do this?!I bought this app several years ago and it cost me proper money. Now, I used to love this game and when I heard it got an update I thought I'd go see. First glance, it was okay. The new features were awesome, although I missed the way you could tap monsters on the menu to kill them. The interface was meh, and looked poorly finished, but I decided I could deal with that. Then, on the end of one of my runs, I got the option to buy more life. With gems. I was disappointed, as Jetpack Joyride used the coins you earn to get more lives. Still, I decided to let that one slide too. I found the gems on the menu, and thought I'd look around for any other new features. I couldn't see any, so I pressed play. Just before the menu faded out, something caught my eye. Energy. Energy you buy with gems. Which you buy with money. Money I already spent on the app itself. So then I decided not to let anything slide. This update is outrageous and throws back the money I spent in my face. And where did the money I spent go? On this update, that makes my money useless. Some heartless, inconsiderate devs decided to make this update without any prospect of what some people have, called budgeting their money. ✓ Not greatWas expecting a lot from this game seeing as Fruit Ninja is one of my all time favourite iPhone/iPod touch games, although I was disappointed, gameplay is extremely simple which is as it should be for a game for this price but I just felt like I was being ripped off as I got SO much more game from these guys with Fruit Ninja for the same price, I just sorta felt there was no depth, nothing to keep you playing for longer than 30 seconds. ✓ Good game, interesting challengesLike the gameplay for its time-wasting entertainment. Challenges are fun, especially free jewels. Hate the fact that 4 different prompts show up on my screen when I open the game, even if I leave it in the middle of a run. Why does it require Internet to play? It doesn't. Why doesn't it pause the game when you leave it mid-run? It should. Don't understand the reviews about it being a cash cow, I've maxed out levels and all the guns and haven't had to pay a single cent. I played for the music, and the art style, and a bunch of the mechanics that has since been altered/changed. Deleted it right after. ✓ Good, not GreatI don't get why everyone thinks that this is the best game at the moment. It's a very cliched concept, one that has been done sooo many times before. The only differences are different shooter, weapons and monsters. The basic runner game can only go so far, and I find myself getting bored of this quite easily some times. ✓ Good game ruined by greedThis game is yet another pay-to-play, freemium scam. You need 'energy' to play the levels, which requires diamonds to buy, which cost money. The graphics are unacceptably poor for a modern game and look almost like they've come from an arcade, but I wouldn't credit them with that retro charm. Elements of the gameplay remain reasonably satisfying and you can play in the classic arcade mode free of charge. ✓ So dissapointed :(I used to LOVE this game years ago I played it like all day everyday and I was so sad when it got taken away so much so that I would randomly come back and check to see if maybe they’d bring it back one day. Finally today I see they did and it is so different in the worst way. First of all the graphics are so ugly the old design was way cooler and more of an arcade feel now it looks cheap if that makes sense. Another thing too is that it moves ridiculously fast. Too fast to the point where you can’t even enjoy the monster environments and it’s almost impossible to even play because of how fast you move there’s no time to even shoot the monsters. I find it quite difficult to focus on what I'm doing as the contrast isn't quite as strong as other levels. ✓ No where near as great as it used to be.Monster Dash used to be a fun endless runner featuring HalfBrick's iconic mascot Barry Steakfries. I remember when it was first released on the App Store. I had downloaded the game and clocked in hours of game play easily making it one of my most favourite endless runners. Then this update happend, turning this once fun and simple game into a money grabbing micro-transaction machine. I'm also fairly sure they have upped the difficulty just so you need to spend more gems for more continues. You can no longer accumulate hearts like you used to and the leveling up system is a joke. ✓ ...I loved this application, but I can't say the same for my iPad 2. It just seems to be a stretched version of the iPod one, I was thinking of some more flushed graphics. Now graphics isn't everything, although there is a massive flaw in the game play. It's quite jimmy, where it will slow down and sleep up quickly. Also I get moments of like graphics lag. I love how easy it is to just pick it up and play it on the go. I'd like to see this on the PlayStation Network too. However the new currency is definitely a huge set back. Suddenly Gems are all over the place and potentially useless, I could spend hours on end playing the game desperately scrounging up as many as I can and manage to earn a measly 1,200 coins for it. Not recommended for those with little patience. There NEEEDS to be either a gadget that blocks the holes OR you loose lives when falling down. Often I find myself jumping into a hole in a good run, uninstalled bc of this. Apart from that it is a fun & addictive game. ✓ Solid Starting PlaceIt's a solid game overall and has a nice variety of levels and weapons. Decent animation and music make it well worth buying. Loses 1 star for the very repetitive nature of the screen scroller style of game. Loses 1 star for lack of playing scenarios. I'm hoping that extra levels and weapons will be released for this version and then a sequel game would be nice with some extra playing options such as challenges and maybe even multiplayer? The game I purchased had no micro transactions and I could play it all I liked. This has horrible gouging micro transactions, and for the gems alone, I wouldn't have minded *too* much, but the energy system is a kick in the teeth - especially for a game many people (including me) paid money for. I used to really respect Halfbrick for making simple, polished, fun games, but now they're going back and actively removing the fun. ✓ Bring the old version back!Like a lot of other people, I purchased this app a few years ago, and it has been a fantastic little game to play if I ever had a spare few minutes. When I saw that it had been updated I was pretty excited to see what was new about the game! The further in the game I got the more and more I was disappointed. The first fall of this game is the fact you now have to spend more money to enjoy it, for crystals which u need for energy, which you need to play the game! What a stupid concept, the fact that you have a limited amount of goes a day on the game! Who would want a game that you couldn't play as much as you wanted to? Secondly all my old records of the game have been wiped! Thirdly the game seems like it wants to sign in all the time, even half way through a run it started to sign in and didn't pause my game! However there are some cool features. The fact you can upgrade your character is pretty good, and collecting coins adds to the game. Overall, I am very unhappy about the new update, and would like to see the return of the older version, with some more simple updates..Version: 1.40.0

I won’t provide that info so a game I paid for has been withdrawn from me. Surely you would want as big of a fan base as possible and want as much attention as possible? By limiting the game to only function with Internet is really bad design, you're limiting this game to people who have a data connection on their device while on the move or out of the house - pretty poor. Also, I didn't realise until recently that this was one of those games which require energy to play?! Again, why would you want to limit the game for your fans? ✓ DisapointedI enjoyed the different locations and monsters but I was overall disapointed in this game. I didn't mind the pixelated graphics however my biggest disapointment was with the lack of any drive to play the game, it's just boring! ✓ Why in the name of God would you do such a crime!!Dear devs, If you are reading this, I would like to congratulate you for ruining a perfectly amazing game.... The improvements to the GUI are impressive but the overall gameplay is just absurd, in the previous versions, you could just play over and over again without wondering about anything in the world... But now ? We need to keep and eye out for the energy bar...and buy energy with gems, for which we have to pay money, also the concept of having the NPC's drop pouches that roll and fall down the gaps is just absolutely irritating... That has to be fixed... Every time I shoot someone my coins or my gem shards just get stuck under spikes or fall off the gaps.... Plus I would recommend removing the whole energy scheme..
